Spencer’s dog, Rathbone, was based on my Jack Russell named Jet.

She was named after Paul McCartney’s boyhood dog, Jet. Jet is one of my favorite Beatles’ songs. The other Beatles song that I love is Paperback Writer. The lyrics echo back to the time when I left my profession to become a cartoonist. Who knows what my former profession was?

I know, nuclear physicist, but what that is as for doing a job, I don’t know.
    Please tell!
Did you do bombs, atomic energy, or what did you do?

And how has that infuenced you as a cartoonist?

I love how completely mad your cartoon dogs always look!

Sorry to burst your memories but Jet is a McCartney and Wings song. Paperback Writer is a Beatles song.
I love all of the Wings songs.
I think almost everyone knows that you were/are a physicist.
Once a science nerd, always a science nerd. I should know, I am also a science nerd (Chemist).

Yes, of course. But do you know who performed My Kitchen Man?

I have to admit that I googled it. Bessie Smith was a little before my time, you must have been a youngster.
Anyway, the song is great and only mildly suggestive.
        I’m kidding, it’s very suggestive.

Before that Physics gig, weren’t you touring the country with your biting the heads off of rubber chickens act? I heard you knocked ’em dead in Peoria…
