Mark S. asked me about the copyright on the comix I post. You may also be interested. Here’s what I wrote back:

You try to do everything possible to protect the copyright. You notice that the copyright says King Features. They own the rights to the strips, although we share the profits. They insist that whenever their stuff is published it appears with a copyright notice. Did you used to read Snuffy Smith? Remember how about every couple of years or so Barney Google and Sparkplug would make an appearance? That was solely to protect the character by copyright.

The Anna Maria City Pier was badly hit by that Hurricane two years ago. It is almost rebuilt. I’ll post photos when the work is done. Meanwhile we still have the Rod and Reel Pier at the north end of the Island. They make a great grouper sandwich.
