Autograph #2

When Professor Dirac was at Florida State University he wrote a book. (If you don’t know who he was, he was 0ne of the great geniuses of the twentieth century. He was awarded the 1933 Nobel Prize in physics)

When the first copies were delivered to the Physics department, I grabbed the first book and cornered Professor Dirac in the elevator.  I said “Would you please sign my book, Professor Dirac?” He was confused. Then I said “I would like your autograph”,  and  then he understood. He was so very unassuming.

How come Sid doesn’t have a pre-Columbian toaster on his table?

I used to own about 50 toasters. Frau Grace made me get rid of most of them. The best one that I still have is a Toast-0-lator ca 1940. It works great.

I’ve wanted a Toast-O-Lator for ages now. Those are fantastic.

YOu can find them on line. For those who don’t know, the toast goes through on a conveyor belt and there is a see thru view port in the middle. then it falls out the other end. I used to love those old toasters that would pop the toast about four feet up in the air. Like a James Bond ejector seat.
