How’s your juice?
Florida used to produce the best oranges on the planet. Over the past several years we’ve had a citrus canker which has devastated the crops. Check the Wikipedia article. Here’s a truck full of oranges heading for the Tropicana plant here in Bradenton. There were two trucks. I took the photo yesterday. The oranges obviously been affected by the citrus greening disease. Maybe that’s why your Tropicana orange juice isn’t as good as it used to be.
When I was a kid at Anna Maria Elementary School on Anna Maria Island we had orange juice dispensers. For a dime you could get yourself a half pint of Tropicana. And when I was a teenager I worked at the Tropicana plant. I made frozen fruit bars.
