By the way, cut open those galls from last week. No larva inside, just some stuff that was like hard cotton. That’s my handy Dremel. I don’t know what I’d do without my Dremel.
When I was a teenager I ate some of those little fried grasshoppers out of a can. I’d have to be mighty hungry. I try not to eat too much, so when I eat I want stuff to be really good. I haven’t had a McDonalds in 20 years.
re: Cutting open the galls. You didn’t spot any tunnels or holes either, huh?
Guess I lost that bet…..though I have read that sometimes parasites can get in them and eat the larva.
No, no holes. There was som small debris inside. Maybe the larva died.
What the hell, just slice them up with your Dremel.
Saute them in olive oil and garlic.
Toss over some pasta.
Mighty fine eating!
