My Old Boss

I was talking via Zoom to my old major professor, Dr. J.G. Skofronick, this morning. Not only is he a brilliant physicist, he’s one of the kindest, nicest people you’d ever want to meet. When I worked for him well over forty years ago, we specialized in very low energy molecular and atomic interactions. I’ve mentioned this before. If you’re interested, here’s a link to many of his scientific publications.

The early work we did in the late 60’s and early 70’s are not included here. I guess they are too old. I believe the earliest citation is from 1982.

Hi Bud. As I have said I love Ernie (I haven’t quite got used to the new-fangled name).

Could you show us the sequence when Arnold test-jumps Sid’s bungy jump? I love this one a little extra since measurement technology was my favorite subject when I was student at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

    Best regards,

    Henrik in Sweden

The Piranha Club name was from 1996 here in the States. My editor wanted to change the name even though I didn’t want to. It remained Ernie elsewhere. I’ll run the Bungee jump story this week.
