I recommend a curry-ginger-sauerkraut stuffing for the goose. It is tasty, although it does sound a bit like Effie’s cooking.

Friends were just talking about whatever happened to a “Christmas Goose.” We never had one – a friend fixed one years ago. Greasy.
I saw a few geese for sale at Publix recently. You’re right. I tried it once. Up on the Eastern shore there are tons of Canada geese. The locals eat them.
