Thanks for all your inputs. I believe I have my security problem finally solved. It took all day. I’m not sure if the visuals are ok. Let me know.

As you’ve learned from the past week or so, I’m a computer whiz. And I’m afraid that I didn’t have time to produce another Old People in Love video, being tied up with blog security for the past several days. (Actually, I have an Old People video that’s almost ready. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday.) But I made an instructional video a few weeks ago. Perhaps I might be able to give you a few pointers when it comes to computer repair.

Great instructional video. Even better than the iFixit tutorials.
    Waiting on the iMac version!

Your MAC Mini video inspired me to tackle an old PC laptop the same way. Guess what? Your tips worked! I had a slightly different issue, as they use no screws except for silly things like the battery cover. So I suggest a 3/4″ carpenter’s wood chisel on the perimeter. Unlike woodworking, it’s safer if it’s dull. Drop it on the concret floor several times to save cutting yourself.

My repair was successful. I now have an excellent warmer. It it will do four coffee cups or one small soup bowl. The smoke is a minor nuisance. After an hour or two, you hardly notice it.

I look forward to your next Tech Tips video. How about snowblowers or lawnmowers?
