I told Andy W that I would post a photo of U-No-Hoo in my Tonto outfit.
This was our first trip to Florida. We stopped at a Seminole village. My mother was inspired that I should be like an Indian. There she is.
I was also a member of Chief Halftown’s tribe when I was in Pennsylvania before we moved to Florida. I think I still might have my membership card. Chief Halftown had a kids’ TV show out of Philly in the late 40’s. I’ll see if I can find the card..
Loved Chief Halftown!!
He was still on TV in the 60’s, when I was a kid.
Channel 6 in Philadelphia.
The Chief’s show and Sally Starr’s show were the best!!
Love the outfit. I did have a tom-tom. At least for a short while until it became annoying. Kids television shows were amazing – ours in Minneapolis had a train engineer (Casey Jones – I still sing the birthday song to my siblings on their special day) and Axel who lived in a treehouse.
There’s one with her father and one of his grand children standing behind his chair. You see the kid, about 4 feet of wall and my grandfather’s head from the eyebrows up. I need to find that one. I also need to find the one of Loinfruit in my sailor suit

I just noticed all the space above the subject in those photos – you were right about how your mother took photos.
