From September, 2007, Sid spots a new business opportunity…

Thanks for your slide rule comments. It’s really nice to know that several of us have that in common.

Thanks, Nils. Thanks, Fred. No, it isn’t nuclear powered and it doesn’t need a battery. I’m glad that my readers are so intelligent. Two weeks ago Bob S asked me if Enos ever got out of the cannibal stew pot. Yes he did, Bob. It happened in July of 2016:

Yesterday I mentioned my old Dietzgen. I bought it in 1961 or 62. Top of the line. Over the years I gave it quite a workout.

Here’s another old single panel magazine cartoon:

Years ago, before we got hitched, Frau G and I rode some mules down the Grand Canyon. I developed a great respect for mules. Frau G is second behind our guide who was riding Mizell. It’s the only mule name that I remember. I’m third from the back. It had to be 1975.

I think I figured out what happened two days ago. I should be ok now. I discovered that if you click on a date in the calendar, sometimes you also have to click on the title that pops up to see the entire post. I don’t know why. Geeze. I got better ways to spend my time. I was happy with my old Dietzgen Microglide. Who needs computers? And since I posted the entire second week of the Elvis story yesterday, here’s an old single panel cartoon from about 40 years ago.
