You know, I’ve never had a problem with weight issues. I guess I’m just lucky. Some people do have a problem, and a lot of times it’s not their fault. But I have discovered an absolute fool-proof way to shed those excess pounds. Eat everything you eat with CHOPSTICKS! It took me about an hour at lunch today to eat a little bowl of shrimp and rice. I finally got tired and gave up.
That tall palm in the middle is the one I had to take down. Years ago some jerk cut half way through it at about 12 feet. The storm twisted the top half and it was leaning.
BTW, I’m having my first ukelele lesson today. Hold youah ears, folks!
Power came on yesterday at 5:15 PM. BTW, power went off Tuesday at 7:15 AM, a day before the storm hit. I know people who won’t have power until next Thursday. What about those poor people just a little south of me? I feel so bad for them. It would have been the same here if it hadn’t drifted south. Evidently the eye passed about 40 miles to the southeast. It was the worst I’ve ever been through.
I’m in the crosshairs, and I fully expect to lose power sometime ahead. So If you don’t hear from me, send over a rowboat. I’m going to post the next three strips in the story. Maybe by Friday we’ll be back up.
Andy, was the mule trip worth it? I responded to your comment. We’re cruising to Hawaii in January.
Got to hunker down. Looks like we’re ground zero for Ian. Right in the middle of the cone. One of the spaghetti noodles goes right through the middle of our house. Remember Max Smart’s “cone of silence”?
