Uh-oh!

I drew that strip because there are lots of people who take things much too seriously. I got tossed out of quite a few papers for stuff that some people find offensive. I mean, what’s wrong with a bearded lady who is married to a duck (or a man who looks like a duck, I’m not sure which) but having an illicit love affair with an 18 year old schlub?

Talking about my childhood in the trailer park in Bradenton Beach, we had running water that was terrible to drink. It came from a shallow well and it reeked of sulphur. We had no toilets outside a community toilet with a septic tank. I’ve shown this picture of my mother before. She’s the one with her back to the camera, chatting with a neighbor and carrying two pots of poop down to the dumping station.

Here’s a flash back to 1998…

I lived in that trailer when I was a kid. It was a 25 foot Alma. This picture was probably taken in North Carolina. For three years we traveled back and forth between Florida and Pennsylvania. Later on, when we stopped migrating, my father sold the Alma and bought an old 32 footer. My Aunt Mae had returned from Germany (Uncle Aub was in the army), and she lived next to us in the Alma in the trailer park with her invalid son and my grandmother.

From 2012

My favorite animal is a raccoon. I had them as pets when I was a kid in Florida. This was in the trailer park. They’re sneaking up on Fuzzy.

This is me with Coonie when she was a baby..

We rescued her. I really loved her. She slept with me. When raccoons mature they go back into the wild. She came back to visit me two times after she left on two separate years. She brought her babies to show me. And she played with me just like she did before she left. She probably was killed or died after that. The habitat was fast disappearing.
