Here’s a colorized photo of my Uncle Spencer with his 1930 Auburn, well before I was born. All of us kids called him “Pappy”.

Did I ever tell you who I named Spencer after? It was my disreputable Uncle Spencer J. Koons. Here he is in 1944 in Connecticut. I guess it was his birthday. The dog is Caesar. The dog was one of the finest people that I ever met.

Robert R asked me if Spencer’s teacher was Mother Packer’s sister. No way. My favorite teacher was Mrs. Parrish. 10th grade English. Once in her English class she was handing back test papers. She graded me wrong. Gave me an “A”. After class I told her about her mistake. She said “I’ll never forget you.” She never did. Here we are at my 50th High School reunion.

Look in yesterday’s comments and read the article that Ed B sent me about a guy who had a pet warthog. Don’t get one.
Sorry I missed yesterday’s post.
