We are hitting 101 and 102 here in Houston. Not the first time I remember a hot drought. I remember in the late 1950s where the front page of the newspaper showed kids frying eggs on the sidewalk.
Texas weather is usually worse than Florida. I’m here on the Gulf coast, and the water helps a lot. Inland it’s usually 2 degrees hotter. When I was a child the highs were around 89º. Now they are around 91º
