Ta Ta for now
Sunday morning I’ll be on my private jet on my way to St. Moritz. Yes folks, I bought my Mega Millions lottery ticket. Actually I bought 20 Mega Million lottery tickets. I figure my chance of winning with only one ticket is about one in a couple billion. With 20 tickets the odds come down to about 1 in 100,000,000. But I won’t forget you, the little people. Watch your mail for a postcard.
I ordered a new stylus for my turntable, so the Ink Spots will have to wait for a few days. Meanwhile…

What the heck is this?
As I was scaling down my possessions and “simplifying” my life, I digitized my vinyl albums (four cases of them). I found digital downloads for most of them, but some were limited runs and I wanted them (Dakota Dave Hull, Butch Thompson, Linda Rich, etc). Now they’re all on my phone. Then I gave away my turntable. My artist neighbor covered it with wood veneer and it became art.
You bought 20 tickets……interesting.

Actually it was only ten tickets. I gave the guy $20 and didn’t count the bets. I gave the ticket to Frau G. She hasn’t checked the numbers yet.
Lottery: a tax on those who did poorly in math class.
Oh, you’re right of course.
And you’re right too.
Darn. I thought the lottery was a tax on idiots
This morning Frau G said the same thing. It’s actually a tax on poor people. They are the ones who play the lottery. Inflation is also a tax on poor people. When we have high inflation the National Dept is reduced. It’s insidious taxation. It doesn’t affect the rich so much, but the poor especially have to spend a greater proportion of what little they have on the necessities.
I ACTUALLY won (some money) in the Mega Millions Lottery!!!!!
I WON a whole $8.
Of course it cost me $20 to win that $8!!!
Never play the lottery folks!!!
Do as I say, not as I do.
Correct. But I could have used that billion bucks. I was going to give it to the Hari Krishnas.
