That’s odd, I have no idea what he’s saying..

  2. Joe says:

Presumably the Scandinavian royalties are pouring in to keep you living the dream in Florida?

Tight. I’m way in the red on that project. We had gotten together in Iceland in the middle of December to plan it. There ain’t much in Reykjavík. Beautiful women. Way out of my class.

Is this something that can be purchased here in English?

    • Bud Grace says:

I don’t know. Maybe Dag Kolstad would reformat it or whatever it would take. Maybe it would be easy. It’s kind of a dumb game as I understand. As I said, I never even saw it. I should watch that Youtube link.

    Lots of ads! Fun show.

It’s a 1997 game on CD-ROM in Norwegian and Swedish.
The Internet Archive says they have an ISO of the disc.
You may need a Windows 95 or 98 machine to run the old code.
There may be copyright protection as well — many games had it.
And you owe Bud for his slice, probably about $0.29.

    Good luck !!

There is a program called DOSBOX.EXE that I have used successfully to run old games on W7 and later PCs. I had the discs so I did not have to deal with copyright protection.

DOSBOX is a little tricky to get running. You will likely have to dumb down your screen resolution as well.

Pick a rainy day if you wish to undertake this mission, Agent Smart.

DOSBox probably runs on Macs as well, but a worse problem is that DOSBox emulates DOS, and I don’t think this is a DOS game. People have managed get certain versions of Windows running in it, but that seems like “crossing the brook to get to the water” as we say in Sweden.

I think the game was made with Macromedia Director, and the ScummVM project is working on that. But that’s apparently a lot of ground to cover, and I think the main focus so far has been on earlier versions of Director. So it could take years, if it happens at all.

As for the game, I’ve seen it turn up a few times in online auctions. So far, it’s been too exoensive for me.
