Monday

Thanks for your comments on the old Ernie game. It wasn’t supposed to be this way, but, essentially, my only input into the game was I drew the pictures and did some sound effects. That was years ago. The guy who produced it was Dag Kolstad. If you’re a middle aged Norwegian, you might remember him from Pyton. I’ve never played it. And  they’re so old my old OS’s can’t play them.

I don’t think I ever told you about the first dinner my new bride (Frau Grace) cooked for me. It was some tiny tiny stinky shrimp in some sort of sauce. It was so bad I looked in the garbage for the package. She fed me bait.

Aw c’mon Bud. Bait is not so bad. 90 million tuna say so.

When I was young, I’d get a ten pound box of frozen squid (bait) at Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego. Ten cents a pound. Thaw it and cut the tentacles off, slit the body, and then pound into a steak. Dip them into a batter of garlic, herbs. egg, and flour and onto a hot barbeque. Everyone thought I was a killer abalone diver. I didn’t get my feet wet.

I never told then about phony-balone.
