Sunday

A friend was over Friday and we were talking. I don’t know how it came up, but I got out an old copper sheet thing that I made in 9th grade. It was one of those pictures that you sort of bang out. It was of a charging lion. I painted some green grass, and around the lion I painted it black. The only reason I kept it all of these years was because I might need a piece of copper. I had cut about three chunks out of it. She thought it was a masterpiece. I gave it to her. I’ll see if I can get a photo next time I’m at her house. But then I showed her a painting I did when I was 15 or 16. She thought it should  be in the Louvre. Here it is:

What a masterpiece! Somewhere I have another painting that i did about the same time. It started out as a naked lady in front of a mirror. After a couple days I gave up. I wasn’t really sure what a naked lady looked like. I turned it in to a table with a flower pot and a dead fish. I’ll see if I can find it.

This one is from September 2008

I love the Antiques Roadshow.
