OK, you Swedes, guess what this is and the story behind it. Good luck, but you won’t get it. (Hint: It was given to me during my first trip to Sweden at the Göteborg Book Fair)
Good mushrooms that are really tasty you never hear about. Like the beefsteak polypore. And the tooth fungi are very good. 35 years ago there was a tree along Sligo Creek in Maryland where I lived that had a bearded tooth that grew every year. I had a spot in Rock Creek Park (DC) for chanterelles, one for morels, and a great one for bluets. All very tasty. When I lived along Sligo Creek, the year we sold the house our rocky yard was covered with black trumpets. They are a chanterelle that makes the best mushroom soup you ever tasted.
Going back a few days, I am surprised you did not have Effie serve Sid mushrooms as a gag.

Looks to me like a little necktie.
A Swedish Merkin?
I know what a merkin is. I was considering using one in my videos for mustaches, but then I went to electrical tape.
Hey, what’s a little merkin between friends?
