Friday

I hope everyone here in the States had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ll post my Thanksgiving strip on Sunday.  Meantime, I think I finally got my final daily collection through the editors at Amazon. I had two versions of the same book, 2017-2018, submitted at the same time. For the one that was blocked, the stupid officious A-holes, didn’t believe I owned the copyright to the cover drawing, even though it had been approved on the 14 other books. A couple weeks ago I applied for the copyright – cost me $45 – but it won’t be processed for about 6 weeks. By publishing on Amazon I was able to reduce the cost to nine bucks a book. Amazon takes about 75%. King will take about 10%. I lose money on every book. How do I do it? Volume!

Howdy

I believe this story is where the Anti-Defamation League wrote me a letter. I had no idea at the time that “Haberman” sounded Jewish. Slick Willie was named after an old friend of mine named Bob Haber. I changed Willie’s name to Slick Willie O’Haberman”. The “Slick Willie” came from “Slick Willie Sutton” the bank robber. My middle name is “Sutton”, which was my mother’s maiden name. When I was a kid my aunts used to tell me that Slick Willie was my uncle. I believed them.

Three things. Nils is waiting for a ukulele performance by U-No-Hoo. Give me another couple weeks of practice. You ought to see my ukulele class. The teacher is a 70ish lady and the class is fifteen old ladies and me. Our teacher doesn’t like Hawaiian music. Picture me and fifteen little old ladies playing This Gun’s for Hire on our ukes. And they’re all better than I am. Meanwhile, Nils sends this link.

Bob K points out that my “Arrrggh!” is correct for comments, but not for pirates. And he’s right. Here’s a pirate “Arrrggh!”

Compare this to the cartoon “Arrrggh!”

Third, Guess who stopped by today. Hint:

That little story about Charlie Brown only lasted three days. This following story appeared right after the Charlie Brown episode.

Any other requests for stories?
