I didn’t realize this gag was in this story. On Saturday I ran the trivia competition at the local Elks Lodge. The question was fill in the blank. Xanadu was the missing word. I couldn’t believe that no one knew the answer. I even said it was from the Samuel Cooleridge poem.
Another thing, when I click on a past date on the calendar that appears in my post, nothing happens. I get text but no cartoon. Is it just me?

Yup. Clicking on a past date in the calendar produces nothing … no toon.

Our senior center is doing trivia, but had to switch to multiple-choice answers. Sign of age!
Clicking on the calendar date here does bring up the cartoon for the last one posted. However, clicking on the other calendar (previous) days brings up the “posted on” dialog date. Clicking on the “posted on” link then brings up the cartoon for that date.
Not really a big deal–can still rapidly jump to past cartoons. Just one more click necessary.
Tech FYI, I am still using an older version of Safari version 13.1.2.
I get no cartoon on any date unless I click on the “posted on” date. Then the cartoon does appear.
