Thank you for your condolences. She wanted elective shoulder surgery. I and all her friends tried to talk her out of it. There were many complications. And I just learned that an old friend of mine passed away two days earlier. He had elective knee surgery. One would think that doctors should know when the risk is too great. Sadly many physicians are more interested in the bottom line. I know that when I was teaching physics at the University of Georgia in 1972-1973 the worst cheaters were the pre-med students. I don’t mean to malign all doctors, but there are many who shouldn’t be practicing.
I told you before that my sister was the audio engineer in New Orleans, first at Cosimo Recording Studios and then at Alan Toussaint’s Sea-Saint studios. She had many wonderful stories. Like when Paul McCartney flew her and the crew out to San Francisco for dinner on his private jet. I have three Paul and Linda autographs. I came across another:
Just catching up – tough to lose a sister. You have my sympathy, Bud.
